My Hypothesis

The topic I am choosing to discuss is Food Allergies in Children.  I chose this topic because I am a one to have bad food allergies.  I've noticed that people tend to think that everyone reacts the same way to an allergic reaction.  Through my research, I have found this not to be true.  Everyone reacts in different ways.  I am planning on providing information on different signs to be looking for and different ways to be tested for these allergies.
My hypothesis is not completely formatted the way I would like it to be; however, I do have a few ideas.  I would like the reader to understand that allergies effect different people in different ways.  I am still working on a way to put that into a correct hypothesis format.
I will use facts from my sources to convince my reader because many of the articles I have read talked about the different ways kids can react and the different signs to look for.  I have also found many articles that discuss ways to be tested for these allergies.
Facts that I still need is just more evidence that not everyone reacts the same way.  I have found a few articles on this topic, but I need more to truly support my hypothesis.

Blog Number Four

During my research, I have found that my topic is very common throughout all races, genders, and ethnicities.  No one is objective to having a food allergy.  I found out that allergies can be passed on genetically.  I had no idea that this was even possible. I found this very interesting.   I still need to find out more about how allergies are tested.  With more sources, I hope to be able to find out how accurate these tests are and I hope that I find more sources with evidence.

Research Blog

Researching my topic was quite difficult.  I found that I may need to consider finding a new topic to be able to further my research to have enough information for my topic.  I found that the words "farm shows" worked way better than "livestock shows".  This truly surprised me because I have never heard a show referred to as a farm show.
There are very few sources related to my chosen topic.  I was pretty surprised however because being an agriculture major, I tend to hear about this topic frequently.
The approaches all of the sources took on my topic were related more towards animal cruelty.  They were all about the same thing and whether humans mistreat our animals.
I sorted through my sources by narrowing the years to where it was not as spread out over a long period of time.  I tried to keep my search within 5 years of our current 2014 year.  I also sorted through my sources by checking the box for academic journals.  I chose to do this so that I would be ensured to have credible sources.
